Candidate Privacy Notice

Who we are

Alftek Human Consultancy (“Alftek”, “we”) is a recruitment and staffing company registered in Qatar, with its registered office at Alfardan Centre, 2nd floor, Grand Hamad Street, Doha, Qatar. We also have offices in Dubai (UAE), Bengaluru and Hyderabad (India). Alftek is responsible for the personal information you give us when you apply for a job through alftek.com, and this notice explains how we handle it.

What we collect

• Your name, email address, phone number and address

• Your CV and LinkedIn profile

• The role you applied for, and the date you applied

• Your privacy choices on the application form

Please do not include sensitive information in your CV, such as your religion, health, passport or ID numbers, or bank details. If a role later needs anything like that (for example a nursing licence or a medical check), we will ask you directly and only if you are shortlisted.

 

Why we use it

• To assess your application for the role you applied to, because you asked to be considered and agreed on the form.

• To share your application with the employer for that role, with your consent on the form.

• To contact you about other suitable roles, only if you tick the optional talent-pool box.

• To keep records the law requires us to keep.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to jobs.

 

How we contact you

We may contact you about your application by email, phone or WhatsApp, using the details you gave us.

 

Documents we ask for later

The application form never asks for passports, certificates, references or medical information. If you receive an offer, we may need documents like these for visa processing, licensing or onboarding. We will explain why at that stage and ask for your permission separately. Reference and background checks are carried out only with your permission.

 

Beware of recruitment fraud

Alftek never charges candidates any fee for recruitment, interviews, job offers or visas. If anyone asks you for payment in Alftek’s name, do not pay, and report it to hr@alftek.com.

 

Who can see it

• Alftek recruitment staff who handle the role.

• The employer for the role you applied to. Many of our roles are with client companies. We share your CV with that employer only, and we will ask you before sending it to any other employer.

• Our service providers, such as our website and email host (Wix), who store data for us under contract and may not use it for their own purposes.

• Authorities, only where the law requires it.

 

Where your data is stored

Our website is hosted by Wix, so your application may be stored on servers outside your country, including in the United States or Europe. Employers you are put forward to may also be in a different country from you. When we transfer data we take reasonable steps to keep it protected to the standard required by the data protection laws that apply to you.

 

How long we keep it

• If you do not join the talent pool: we delete your application 12 months after the role is closed.

• If you join the talent pool: we keep it for 24 months from the date you applied, then delete it unless you ask us to keep it.

• If you are hired: your details move into our employee records, which are covered by a separate notice.

 

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what data we hold about you and send you a copy

• correct anything that is wrong

• delete your data or withdraw your application

• stop contacting you about other roles (withdraw talent-pool consent)

Email hr@alftek.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will reply within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

 

How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data. We do not use automated decision-making to accept or reject candidates: every application is reviewed by a person.

 

Age

Our roles are for people aged 18 and over. Please do not apply if you are under 18.

 

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice we will update the date and version above. The version you agreed to is recorded with your application.
