We are seeking a Safety Officer for oil and gas operations in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The role covers implementation and monitoring of HSE policies across site activities, safety inspections and risk assessments, Permit to Work (PTW) monitoring, incident investigation, and HSE documentation and reporting. A minimum of three years’ experience as a Safety Officer in Ras Laffan and NEBOSH Level 3 certification are mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies across oil and gas operations and site activities

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments

• Ensure full compliance with Qatar energy sector regulations and HSE standards

• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions and safety awareness training

• Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems to ensure safe work practices

• Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions

• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and prepare reports

• Coordinate effectively with site teams, contractors and client representatives

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Qatar as a Safety Officer in Ras Laffan (mandatory)

• NEBOSH Level 3 (International General Certificate) – mandatory certification

• Valid Qatar ID (transferable visa preferred)

• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, PTW systems and risk management practices

• Familiarity with Qatar Labor Law and industry safety standards

• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)

• Proven ability to enforce and promote a zero-incident safety culture
